Undergoing lap band surgical treatment in September 2011, 24-year-old Lauren Manzo has no regrets about sharing her excess weight reduction struggle this season on Bravo's Real Housewives of New Jersey. In truth, it was Caroline Manzo's daughter's own choice to go public with her battle of the bulge.
" It is challenging seeing by yourself on Television. The camera does not add 10 pounds, it adds 800 pounds!" causes Lauren, who had gone through years of yo-yo dieting and attempted plans like Jenny Craig, Excess weight Watchers and LA Weight Reduction to attempt to shed pounds. Tipping the scales at 185 pounds, the makeup store owner determined to undergo surgery -- and initially kept it a secret from RHONJ audiences.

"When I 1st got it, I didn't want to inform anybody. So quite a few fans associated to my struggle, I didn't want to re ally feel like I was letting them down," Lauren tells Us. "I've gotten such a fantastic response. It is really worth it."
Lauren tells Us that her mother, Caroline, might have doled out tough love on Tv -- calling her daughter " 8 pounds of sausage in a 5 -pound bag" -- but argues that her criticism motivated her, and didn't offend her. "If I my mom weren't so blunt with me, I wouldn't be as pleased as I am right now," Lauren says. "I know she did not imply anything by it. She has constantly informed me I am gorgeous -- my father and brothers, too."

Intending to lose at least 35 additional pounds, L auren has not yet settled on a goal fat -- and is anxious to present off her bangin' new bod this summer time at the seashore.
"When I hit 120, I'll make a decision if I want to go to 115. I'm motivated," explains the reality star. "Hopefully, by the end of the summer time, I'll be in a bikini. I've in no way worn a bikini in my existence !"
